Shop lab-grown alexandrite rings handcrafted to order in our Pennsylvania workshop. Alexandrite is famous for its color change: green to teal in daylight, purple-red under warm indoor light. Choose from halo, Celtic, floral, vintage, solitaire and three-stone engagement rings and bridal sets in round, oval, pear, emerald, cushion, princess and kite cuts, from about 1 to 6 carats.

Rings are available in sterling silver, 14K white, rose or yellow gold, PT900 platinum or palladium, starting at $850. Each piece is made to order, includes a lifetime warranty and free resizing, and ships free within the US.

Lab-grown alexandrite ring FAQ

What is lab-grown alexandrite?

Lab-grown alexandrite is real chrysoberyl with the same chemistry, hardness and color-change effect as mined alexandrite, created in a laboratory instead of a mine. It shows a vivid green-to-purple shift that is very rare and very expensive in natural stones.

Why does alexandrite change color?

Traces of chromium absorb light in a way that makes the stone look green or teal in daylight or LED light and purple to raspberry red under warm incandescent or candle light.

Is alexandrite durable enough for an engagement ring?

Yes. Alexandrite rates 8.5 on the Mohs hardness scale, harder than most colored gemstones, so it holds up well to everyday wear in an engagement ring.

Which metals can I choose?

Most rings in this collection can be made in sterling silver, 14K white gold, 14K rose gold, 14K yellow gold, PT900 platinum or palladium. Bridal sets and center stones of 3 carats or more are priced higher.

How long does it take to make my ring?

Each ring is handcrafted to order. Please allow up to 21 days for production and shipping; your estimated delivery date is shown at checkout.

Do you offer resizing and a warranty?
